Lindsey Buckingham’s alleged attacker to face seven criminal charges
The woman who allegedly stalked and attacked Lindsey Buckingham will face seven criminal charges in Los Angeles County.
On March 25th, Michelle Dick was accused of hurling an unidentified substance at the former Fleetwood Mac guitarist.
As per court documents obtained by Rolling Stone, the complaint against Dick includes one felony count of making criminal threats, one count of assault with a deadly weapon involving a motor vehicle on March 19th, and one count of vandalising Buckingham’s vehicle, a Mercedes-Benz S450, that same day.
Further, Dick also faces a separate felony count of criminal threat against the musician on March 25th, as well as a misdemeanor battery charge for allegedly using force.
On top of this, prosecutors charged Dick with stalking Buckingham as well as another victim, Stephanie N.
The documents also show that an arrest warrant was ordered for Dick; bail was set at $300,000. At the time of the attempted attack, police confirmed that Buckingham wasn’t injured.
The musician sought a restraining order against Dick in late 2024, alleging that she had stalked him for many years and was also the cause of dozens of police officers falsely descending upon his house in November of that year after she lied to police, stating she had heard gunshots inside the house. She allegedly admitted to this on the phone to Buckingham.
In his petition for the restraining order, which was eventually granted, Buckingham shared that Dick believed she was his daughter, and she had communicated to him a desire to kill him and his family.
Recently, Buckingham shared big plans for this year, stating on social media: “I’ve been working on a new solo album for the last couple of years, which is one song away from being finished.”
Importantly, he also added an update on his tumultuous relationship with former bandmate and wife, Stevie Nicks: “On a more general level, just the energy in terms of what Buckingham Nicks did, to sort of create a resurgence of connection between Stevie and myself, on a larger scale, that seems to be something that’s in the air.”
