Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham attacked in Santa Monica

Fleetwood Mac legend Lindsey Buckingham has been attacked by a woman in Santa Monica, according to police.

The musician turned up to an appointment in Los Angeles County and, upon entering the building, was approached by a woman who allegedly proceeded to throw an unknown substance at him.

Police have identified the woman as someone known to Buckingham from previous incidents; however, as of yet, no arrests have been made, according to NBC Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department have said they believe the woman found out about Buckingham’s appointment and waited for him at the location.

Police have also confirmed that Buckingham wasn’t injured. As of writing, the alleged attacker has not been named by the Los Angeles Police Department.

The news comes shortly after Buckingham hinted at a potential reunion with former Fleetwood Mac member and bandmate Stevie Nicks.

In a video posted on social media, Buckingham confirmed that he and Nicks were re-establishing their connection and hinted that things could take off on a grander scale.

He said: “On a more general level, just the energy in terms of what Buckingham Nicks did, to sort of create a resurgence of connection between Stevie and myself, on a larger scale, that seems to be something that’s in the air.”

Buckingham also confirmed in the video that he was working on a new album and a documentary, predicting that 2026 was going to be a good year.

He said: “I think 2026 is going to be a very interesting, and y’know, despite what’s going on in Washington, I think it’s going to be a very good year. Or, maybe because of what’s going on in Washington (laughs), but I’m still very grounded in my creative life, I’ve been working on a new solo album for the last couple of years.”

Buckingham has yet to comment on the incident in Santa Monica.
