Liam Gallagher pokes fun at Colplay concert affair saga during Oasis show at Heaton Park

During Oasis‘ fifth and final show at Heaton Park in Manchester, Liam Gallagher addressed the scandal involving tech CEO Andy Byron, who was caught having an affair with a colleague at a Coldplay show in Boston last week.

In footage, which has now been viewed hundreds of millions of times across social media platforms, Byron was seen embracing Astronomer’s head of HR, Kristin Cabot, on the kiss cam before acting suspiciously once he noticed he was on screen.

At the time, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin jokingly said of Byron’s behaviour on the kiss cam, “Either they’re having an affair, or they’re very shy.”

Social media sleuths then discovered the identities of the two people in the video, and found they were both married.

As a result, Astronomer initially placed Byron on leave before an investigation was launched. However, he has since resigned as the CEO of the company.

In a statement, the tech company confirmed: “Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO.”

Since the video went viral, the Philadelphia Phillies recreated the famous moment with their mascots during their MLB match on July 18th, and now, Liam Gallagher calmed the nerves of any cheating Oasis fans at Heaton Park.

Before erupting into a rendition of ‘Slide Away’, Gallagher said: “Right then, do we have any lovebirds in the house? Don’t worry, we don’t have any of that Coldplay snidey fucking camera shit. It doesn’t matter to us who you’re fucking mingling with, tinkering with, fingering with. None of our fucking business. This one is for the lovebirds, anyway.”

Elsewhere, during the most recent Oasis show, Noel thanked the Manchester crowd, passionately saying, “For the last ten days the eyes of the world have been on this city of Manchester and I just want to say to all Mancunians you’ve done yourself fucking proud. You’ve still fucking got it Manchester.”

The Oasis reunion tour is now set to move to London for a seven-night residency at Wembley Stadium. They will play on July 25th, July 26th, July 30th, August 2nd, and August 3rd. Once they return from North America, Oasis will play two further shows at Wembley Stadium in late September.
