Liam Gallagher says Oasis “need to sit down and discuss” their future

Liam Gallagher has revealed that Oasis “need to sit down and discuss” the future of the band beyond 2025.

2025 has been the year of Oasis, who began their reunion tour in Cardiff in July, which has since taken them around the UK, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia and South America.

Following a run of dates in Argentina, Oasis are set to play the Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile, tonight (November 19th) before finishing up their Oasis Live ’25 tour in Brazil. Their final date is in Sâo Paulo on November 23rd.

While there has been mass speculation that Oasis will continue the tour in 2026, Liam has seemingly attempted to calm fans’ expectations.

When one fan asked him on X to reply in one word about whether they’ll tour in 2026, he said, “NO”, before saying in a follow-up post, “YES IM FUCKING SERIOUS”.

In a more measured post, he then explained, “You will see me next year and the year after and so on just not sure yet if it’ll be with oasis we need to sit down and discuss these things if it was all up to me then you know we’d be touring till the day we die as it’s the best thing in the world but UNFORTUNATELY it’s not”.

Liam has previously strongly hinted that the Oasis reunion will continue beyond their final listed date in São Paulo on November 23rd. He recently told a fan on X that “it’s not even HALF TIME yet it’s a tour of 2 half’s” and said, “See you next year” to fans at Wembley Stadium in September.

When asked by another fan, “Has anyone already scolded you for saying the ‘see u next year’ ? is that why you tell us this?”, Liam admitted, “There was a few tuts and raised eyebrows”.

Notably, last month, Lady Taylor of Stevenage told the House of Lords that Oasis are set to play five shows at Knebworth House next July, which is located close to Stevenage.

Lady Taylor, who later backtracked on her comments to say she was “speaking hypothetically following speculation”, said on October 22nd, “Next July, I have the benefit of five days of Oasis concerts in the fantastic venue of Knebworth House, which is just about a mile from my house.”

Adding more fuel to the fire, when Noel Gallagher appeared on TalkSPORT in August, he refused to be drawn into a question about the band’s plans for 2026 and Knebworth. “Let’s talk about football,” he bluntly replied upon being asked about possible shows.
