Jack White secretly announces new album ‘Frozen Charlotte’
Jack White has lowkey announced details of his new studio album, Frozen Charlotte, and shared the new single ‘Dollar Bill’.
Details of his seventh solo album have been unveiled in an extremely unique manner through Third Man Records’ Third Man Labs.
Earlier this week, they shared a free, two-part, behind-the-scenes online series that explores Third Man Records’ creative approach to the album release process, which contained glitching album imagery and alluded to the Frozen Charlatan character that is on the cover of Frozen Charlotte.
Through these videos, fans also heard a clip of his new single ‘Dollar Bill’ for the very first time, which has now been released.
The 13-track album, set for release on June 10th, includes the two singles, ‘Derecho Demonico’ and ‘G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs’, which White released in April.
According to the Third Man Records webstore, White was backed on Frozen Charlotte by Patrick Keeler on drums, Dominic Davis on bass, and Bobby Emmett on keys.
It also explains that following the conclusion of his tour in support of No Name, White and his band “went straight to work in the studio and laid down what became Frozen Charlotte“.
The product description adds that “this album shows Jack carrying on the same raucous, raw, and frenetic energy from his lauded 2024 album, No Name.” Additionally, it’s described as “an intense rock and roll punch with never far behind blues underpinnings”.
White is currently on tour across Europe, which kicked off on May 30th at the Sigulda Castle in Latvia, followed by shows in Warsaw and Krakow in Berlin, before trips that he’s undertaken in Germany for visits to Berlin and Hamburg.
His UK run will begin with two shows at the Eventim Apollo in London in late August, followed by visits to Bristol, Newcastle and Belfast, before two shows in Ireland at the 3Olympia, which will round out his summer itinerary in Europe.
Then, his first North American leg will kick off at the Anthem in Washington on July 10th, followed by dates in Brooklyn, Toronto, Essex Junction, Boston, Indianapolis, Chicago and Clarkston later that month.
After the European shows in August, he’ll be back on home soil in September, starting in Cincinnati on the 18th. This extensive leg of the tour will keep White on the road until November 18th with notable stops including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Nashville, Milwaukee, Miami Beach and Atlanta.
