Jack White left dumfounded by Donald Trump’s giant new golden statue in Florida
It’s safe to say Jack White won’t be visiting Florida anytime soon to visit the outrageous new giant statue of Donald Trump.
The statue, which is 22 feet, was recently erected at one of Trump’s golf clubs in Florida, the National Doral Miami, and has been given the name of ‘Don Colossus’.
Don Colossus, which depicts Trump raising his fist into the air following the assassination attempt against him in 2024, was unveiled last week in a ceremony that was overseen by Pastors for Trump member Pastor Mark Burns.
According to the Daily Beast, the bizarre new statue was financed by a group of cryptocurrency investors, who made it as part of a promotional campaign for their $PATRIOT memecoin.
Burns later took to social media to write of the artefact, “It also reminds us of the hand of God over President Trump’s life. We thank God for preserving him and not allowing his life to be taken, not once, but multiple times.”
One person who views things differently is Jack White, who took to Instagram to share an image of the 22-foot monstrosity.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee captioned the post, “The most frustrating part of modern American life is the attempt to make sense of people who don’t even CARE that they make no sense at all.”
Only last month, White crowned Trump as “the worst American of all time”, after previously calling him the worst president in US history.
He also recently condemned Trump for sharing an AI-image that depicted the president as Jesus, writing on social media, “Hey evangelical Christians? Remember that anti-Christ you been squawking about all these years and how he’d present himself as Christlike and bring about the end of days with a final war in the Middle East involving Jerusalem? Well… check out your boy now!”
In 2025, after White labelled Trump “an embarrassment to American history” in 2025, the White House’s communications director fired back by describing him as “a washed up, has-been loser posting drivel on social media because he clearly has ample time on his hands due to his stalled career”.
The insults haven’t stopped White from saying how he feels, and it’s unlikely that he’ll stop anytime soon, including at live shows.
The rock icon recently confirmed a new world tour, which will keep him busy from June to November. His UK and Ireland run will begin with two shows at the Eventim Apollo in London in late August, followed by visits to Bristol, Newcastle and Belfast, before two shows in Dublin at the 3Olympia.
