Jack White calls on Christian Donald Trump followers to stop supporting “blasphemy”

Jack White has launched another tirade towards Donald Trump, this time calling on Christians to stop supporting the US president’s “blasphemy”.

The former White Stripes frontman has been a vocal critic of the president throughout his time in office, but after the latest incident in which Trump shared an AI-generated image of himself as Jesus, White had more to say on the matter.

Taking to Instagram on April 13th, the musician shared the image before writing: “Hey evangelical Christians? Remember that anti-Christ you been squawking about all these years and how he’d present himself as Christlike and bring about the end of days with a final war in the Middle East involving Jerusalem? Well… check out your boy now!”

In a lengthy caption, White also added: “Listen, if the felonies, Epstein files, rapes, bombing of schoolchildren, Gestapo ICE agents attacking his own citizens, threatening to invade Greenland, Cuba, Venezuela and Iran all didn’t convince you that you fell for this deranged grifter, maybe this lil’ post will?”

Trump has come under fire in recent days after clashing with Pope Leo over the war in Iran. The leader of the Catholic church said he did not fear the president after he was called “weak”, thus prompting the Truth Social post.

However, after facing backlash, Trump later removed the image on April 13th, saying that the picture of him blessing people was instead of “me as a doctor making people better.”

Referencing this in his own post, White continued: “How can any so called Christian support him after this blasphemy? How could any Catholic support him after he attacks the character of their Pope multiple times? How did so many millions of people fall for this conman?”

He concluded his caption by saying: “He lies, then lies about the lie, then doubles down on that lie with another lie and they Just. Keep. Falling. For. It.”

It is far from the first time White has taken aim at the president over his actions, most recently criticising his decision to invade Iran by saying: “Can you believe Donny hasn’t received a real Nobel Peace Prize yet? Unfair! Maybe in his third term he’ll get one.”

The musician also announced a huge tour of North America, Europe and the UK for the rest of this year, taking him on the road from May until November.
