Jack White condemns Donald Trump for attacking Iran: “Don Jr and Barron won’t have to fight or die”

Jack White has condemned President Donald Trump for his military action in Iran.

The United States and Israel have begun “major combat operations” against Iran in the last 24 hours, which has led to the Iranian regime launching retaliatory attacks across Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.

Upon confirming US military involvement, Trump, who had not sought approval from Congress, claimed, “Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime.”

He also said the action was being taken to “ensure that Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon”.

The attacks on Iran include the compound of the country’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in Tehran, which has suffered significant damage, according to BBC News.

In response, White has taken to Instagram to criticise the military action, writing, “Don’t you love seeing him declare war on a country while wearing a trucker hat that says ‘USA’ on it? Behold the leader of the ‘Board of Peace’.”

He added, “For the next war announcement Donny, may I suggest having your feet up on the Resolute desk while eating a Big Mac in a velvet track suit? Venezuela, Greenland, Iran, Cuba, what’s the difference right?”

White then highlighted, “Don Jr and Barron won’t have to fight or die, just other people’s children, so…invade and bomb away!”

He also ridiculed Trump’s Board of Peace by saying that new sign-ups are “starting at one billion dollars”, and sarcastically writing, “Can you believe Donny hasn’t received a real Nobel Peace Prize yet? Unfair! Maybe in his third term he’ll get one.”

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has also issued a statement on the conflict, stating, “We have a range of defensive capabilities in the region, which we’ve recently strengthened. Our forces are active and British planes are in the sky today as part of coordinated regional defensive operations to protect our people, our interests and our allies, as Britain has done before, in line with international law.”

Starmer added, “We’ve stepped up protections for British bases and personnel to their highest level. We are also reaching out to UK nationals in the region and doing everything we can to support them.”
