Glastonbury 2025: Rod Stewart confirms Ronnie Wood will be joining his set

Rod Stewart has confirmed that Ronnie Wood will join him at Glastonbury Festival this year.

During an appearance on The Peter Crouch Podcast, the musician slipped in the news that Wood will be joining him for his set at Worthy Farm. Stewart will perform at Glastonbury for the legend’s slot.

“Do you keep in touch with Sir Elton John, Rolling Stones, people in music? Are you still pals?” Crouch asked Sir Rod Stewart. He replied quickly, “Not really. Woodie, I do a lot, just recently because we’re going to do Glastonbury together.”

In April, The Faces drummer Kenney Jones confirmed that he, Stewart and Wood have recorded 11 songs for a new album. The iconic trio have been busy working on a new album for many years, but they have yet to release any material. Wood first discussed plans to reunite for another record in 2021, but their busy schedules have limited time to spend on the new album. Their last LP, Ooh La La, arrived in 1973.

Jones suggested that the new tracks will “come out next year”. Stewart also revealed last November that the group were “working on a documentary” to celebrate a landmark anniversary.

Wood’s involvement in the headline show is even more noteworthy as The Rolling Stones aren’t set to tour in 2025. It also marks Stewart’s first appearance at Worthy Farm since he headlined the Pyramid Stage in 2002.

Previous legend slot performers include the likes of Dolly Parton, Kylie Minogue and Dame Shirley Bassey. In 2024, Shania Twain performed, delivering classics such as ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ and ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman’.

Glastonbury Festival is set to take place between June 27th and June 29th with The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo headlining the Pyramid Stage. Meanwhile, Charli XCX, Loyle Carner, and The Prodigy will headline The Other Stage.
