Geese unveil eclectic support acts for North American ‘Getting Killed’ tour
Geese have unveiled the impressive list of new acts set to join them on their forthcoming Getting Killed Again tour across North America.
The Cameron Winter-fronted band will soon play for the masses across a 20-stop North American tour kicking off this September.
The buzzy band has collated an eclectic support list, ranging from rap to hip-hop, reggae, post-punk, and experimental folk, to bolster the affair.
The young musicians took to their Instagram to reveal that Gwenifer Raymond, Billy Woods, LEENALCHI, Julianna Barwick, Bill Orcutt, Easy Star All-Stars, and Cold Court will be joining at different stops on the Getting Killed Again tour.
Raymond is a Welsh guitarist known for her work with American primitive guitar traditions, blending Welsh folklore and instrumental music with punk.
Billy Woods, one of the most notable names from the new crew, is one of the most acclaimed underground rappers of the past decade. He recently featured on the latest Mandy, Indiana album.
LEENALCHI is a South Korean band whose song ‘Tiger Is Coming’ went viral; they fuse traditional pansori with danceable rock.
Julianna Barwick is an ambient composer likely to bring a soothing tone to the support slot; she is known for looping her voice into sacred, choir-like soundscapes.
Orcutt, a former member of Harry Pussy, is an experimental guitarist combing blues with punk. In a similar vein, Cold Court are a Canadian post-punk band scrambling together several genres like noise-pop, alt-rock, and funk.
Most surprising on the list are Easy Star All-Stars, a reggae collective known for their reimagining of classic tracks from the likes of David Bowie, The Beatles, and Radiohead into dub-style dance-alongs.
Check out the full list of North American tour dates below. At the time of writing, tickets remain only for the shows in Nashville, Asheville, Queens, Mexico City, Phoenix, and San Diego.
