Elon Musk launches ‘Cancel Netflix’ campaign after sharing claims they promote “transgender propaganda”

Elon Musk is leading the call for a Netflix boycott after reacting to X users who claimed the streaming platform was promoting transgender propaganda on an animated show.

The issue began when the creator of Dead End: Paranormal Park commented on a post by Keir Starmer about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. He wrote, “Why the fuck are you even commenting on this, dickhead…a random nazi gets shot and it’s a public statement.”

In reaction, Musk shared a post that had been made earlier by the Libs of TikTok account and showed clips of Steele’s animated show, which was canceled in January 2023, and claimed it was “pushing pro-transgender on CHILDREN.”

Musk shared the post, writing, “This is not ok.” He later boosted a post that read, “Netflix is an activist outfit, hellbent on ideological indoctrination. As part of its ‘Fund for Creative Equity’, it has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to the ‘Transgender Film Centre’ in order to ‘bring more trans-made stories to the world’.”

Musk has since reposted a flurry of statements from X users that show his perspective on the matter. One wrote: “Transgender propaganda isn’t just quietly lurking in the background on Netflix. They are actively pushing it on users. Here’s a Netflix article listing shows that ‘honour transgender and non-binary people’ for ‘Trans Day of Visibility’.” Musk reposted this, adding, “True.”

He also reposted a statement from Gunther Eagleman that read simply, “WARNING: Netflix is coming for your children.

The Netflix cancellation stands as an important symbol in Musk’s tirade against wokeness. He supported another post that insisted “This goes way beyond cancelling Netflix This is you fighting back and taking a stand,” as well as, “Go woke, Go broke.”

After sharing the message repeatedly with his 227 million followers, Netflix’s shares dropped by 2.2 per cent, as reported by Forbes.

Musk’s likeness will soon hit the big screen, as After the Hunt director Luca Guadagnino has reportedly secured Ike Barinholtz to play Musk in his upcoming movie, Artificial.
