D4vd’s manager issues statement on Celeste Rivas death investigation: “This is the only time I’ll speak on this matter”

Josh Marshall, the manager of pop singer D4vd, has spoken for the first time after the body of Celeste Rivas was found in his client’s car last month in Los Angeles.

Rivas, 14, whose body was discovered in a Hollywood tow yard on September 8th, was identified by the Los Angeles Police Department on September 17th. D4vd, real name David Anthony Burke, subsequently cancelled all of his future shows, including a proposed trip to the UK and Europe in October.

The circumstances surrounding Rivas’ death are currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, who have yet to name a suspect or charge any individuals in connection with her passing.

A TikTok user, named Girl Town, recently uploaded a video accusing Marshall of being involved in the death of Rivas, which Marshall categorically denied in the comments section, writing, “How dare you say something like this with no facts.”

He then elaborated, writing, “This video is false and the person is misinformed. This is the only time I’ll speak on this matter. FOR NOW. This has been a tough time for my family as I am a father of 3 children.”

Marshall then denied more claims made in the video, including that he was living in a mansion in the Hollywood Hills with Burke, stating, “I received no emails and I’m no one’s roommate, I live full-time at home with my wife and kids. My daughter is 14 and this news is affecting so many lives. I never received any emails. I had zero knowledge of anything and I don’t live in California.”

The manager, who runs Mogul Vision, continued, “Also I work remotely 95 per cent of the time and my job doesn’t require me to have much interaction with any of my clients/David, as there are many others that work with him on a day-to-day capacity, not me.”

He concluded by pleading with readers, “This news is tragic for so many and for her family. I hope the proper authorities get to the bottom of it soon. Let me remind people a lot of this is speculation and alleged. In the meantime, I am with my family helping them emotionally get through the news of this tragedy. Please report on factual information. – Josh Marshall.”

Burke is yet to directly comment on the investigation, but, following the initial discovery of human remains in the vehicle, a spokesperson for the singer told NBC News that he “has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities”.
