Brandon Flowers has made two new solo albums and provides update on The Killers next record
Brandon Flowers has revealed when he expects The Killers to return and confirmed he’s recorded two solo albums.
While The Killers did play many shows across North America in 2025, including headlining summer festivals, it has now been five years since they released new material.
Per The Sun, Flowers said in regards to the Las Vegas rockers’ return, “My best guess is that in 2027 you will get the best Killers record.”
However, his recent creativity has been poured into his solo career with Flowers sharing, “I have two records complete. One is almost mixed. The other will follow shortly. “I’m trying to decide how this is going to work logistically.”
He also revealed of the projects, “I had a ball making them in Nashville. It’s a departure for sure. Gotta keep you all on your toes.”
Flowers then opened up about how touring heavily with The Killers in recent years explains why they haven’t released another album since Pressure Machine in 2021, stating there was “a pent-up demand for that communal experience after Covid”.
Additionally, in 2024, The Killers performed a residency at Las Vegas and hit the road for an arena tour celebrating 20 years as a band, with Flowers sharing, “The production and time that went into it all wiped out 2024, 2025 wrapped up so the two solo records I expect will be coming out in 2026.”
While new material with The Killers has not been a priority for The Killers, the vocalist said, “We’ve been writing here and there.”
In late 2023, Flowers admitted that The Killers had scrapped a synth album they had been recording. He said of their reasoning, “It just didn’t feel authentic. It felt like we were forcing something.”
Although The Killers are not currently at the forefront of Flowers’ mind, the band do have a series of shows scheduled for March, which will see them visit Paraguay, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico.
