Body found in D4vd’s impounded Tesla identified as teenage girl

Authorities in Los Angeles have identified the dead body that was found in an impounded Tesla registered to D4vd to be a teenage girl.

On September 8th, the Los Angeles Police Department made the discovery of human remains in an impounded Tesla in a Hollywood tow yard after reports of a “foul odour coming from an impounded vehicle”. It later emerged that the vehicle is registered to David Anthony Burke, better known as D4vd, who is currently on tour in North America.

According to ABC 7, the girl who has been identified as being in the abandoned car was aged between 14 and 15 years old.

Forensics have held back from releasing her name to the general public, with a law enforcement official explaining to Rolling Stone, “The decedent has been identified, but the legal next of kin notification is still pending. Information cannot be released until after the notification occurs.”

The aforementioned publication also states that the Tesla was parked at Bluebird Avenue for around three weeks before being impounded.

A report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner report said the victim was around 5 feet 2 inches, had wavy black hair, weighed 72 pounds, and a tattoo on her right index finger which read, “Shhh…”

Her body was also described by authorities as “severely decomposed”. They also said she had likely been “inside the vehicle for an extended period of time before being found”.

Following the discovery of human remains, a spokesperson for the singer told NBC News that Burke “has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities”.

D4vd has been on tour across North America for the last two months, which hasn’t been affected by the discovery in the Tesla. Over the last week, he has performed in cities including Kansas City, Portland and Minnesota. His tour will conclude at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles on September 20th ahead of a European run of dates next month.
