Body found in impounded Tesla registered to singer D4vd

The Los Angeles Police Department has found a dead body in an impounded Tesla, which is registered to pop singer D4vd, according to reports.

ABC News have said that the vehicle was impounded at a tow yard in Hollywood when the Los Angeles Police Department made the discovery.

The local police responded to calls at around 12:30pm local time on September 8th after reports of a “foul odour coming from an impounded vehicle”. The Tesla had been impounded at 1000 block of N Mansfield Avenue for a couple of days before police made the discovery.

Police found the dead body in a bag that was hidden in the front trunk of the vehicle. The identity of the deceased has not yet been made public.

Per ABC News, the 2023 Tesla is registered in Hempstead, Texas, to David Anthony Burke, better known by his stage name D4vd.

The singer, who boasts more than 33 million monthly unique listeners on Spotify, is yet to comment on the reports. However, Burke did post an unrelated post on Instagram Stories on September 8th.

D4vd is currently on tour in North America and is due to perform at the Filmore in Minneapolis on September 9th. His run of dates is set to visit cities including Portland, Salt Lake City, Denver and Seattle before it concludes on September 20th at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

In October, D4vd is scheduled to tour Europe, beginning the run of dates in Oslo on October 1st. Later in the month, he will visit Manchester, Dublin, Glasgow, and Bristol, as well as play two shows at the Roundhouse in London.

As it stands, all D4vd’s shows are set to go ahead.
