Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep reunite in ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ trailer
The highly anticipated first trailer, starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep, has arrived for The Devil Wears Prada 2.
While the 51-second teaser trailer doesn’t reveal a great deal regarding the plot to the upcoming film, viewers do see Hathaway’s Andy Sachs and Streep’s Miranda Priestly share a brief exchange in an elevator.
Upon entering the lift and being greeted by Priestly, Sachs nods in her direction before saying, “Miranda”, who responds, “Took you long enough”. The short clip is soundtracked by Madonna’s classic track, ‘Vogue’.
It has been confirmed for release in cinemas on May 1st, 2026.
Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, who are not seen in the teaser trailer, are also set to return to their roles as Emily Charlton and Nigel Kipling, respectively, from the 2006 original for the forthcoming movie.
New additions to the cast include Lucy Liu, Simone Ashley, Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, BJ Novak, Caleb Hearon and Helen J Shen. Lady Gaga was also reported to have filmed a brief cameo in Milan during her European tour in October.
No synopsis has yet been revealed for The Devil Wears Prada 2, but it is expected to follow Priestly as she attempts to fight the print industry’s decline. Her former assistant, Emily, played by Blunt, is also a high-profile executive in the fashion industry, which shifts the dynamic of her relationship with Priestly on its head.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is directed by David Frankel, who helmed the first movie, with Aline Brosh McKenna also returning as screenwriter.
