Lady Gaga secures role in ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’

Lady Gaga has joined the growing cast for the highly anticipated movie, The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Filming is currently underway on the upcoming movie, and although Gaga is on the road at the moment in Europe for her Mayhem Ball tour, she has managed to find the time to make an appearance in The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Following the conclusion of her four sold-out dates at the O2 Arena in London, Gaga made the trip to Milan, where The Devil Wears Prada 2 is filming, to take part in the movie, according to Variety.

However, Gaga’s tour is set to resume in Stockholm on October 12th, which means her screen time in The Devil Wears Prada 2 is likely to be limited to a brief cameo.

Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt are returning to their roles from the 2006 original for the forthcoming feature alongside a string of previously announced new faces. These include Lucy Liu, Simone Ashley, Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, BJ Novak, Caleb Hearon and Helen J Shen.

Meanwhile, Stanley Tucci is set to return as Nigel, a much-beloved original character from the award-winning 2006 feature.

While plot details are yet to be confirmed, it is expected to follow Streep’s character, Miranda Priestley, as the fierce editor-in-chief faces the print industry’s decline. Her former assistant, Emily, played by Blunt, is also a high-profile executive in the fashion industry, which shifts the dynamic of her relationship with Priestley on its head.

As it stands, no release date has been given for A Devil Wears Prada 2.
