Andy Bell confirms he’s playing with Oasis on reunion tour

In a new interview, Andy Bell confirmed that he’ll be part of the Oasis reunion tour, which begins on July 4th in Cardiff.

In March, Liam Gallagher seemingly confirmed the line-up for the Oasis tour when he responded on social media to a report claiming Bell would be returning to the group on bass duties along with Gem Archer, and Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, with Joey Waronker joining on drums.

Following NME stating this would be how the band lines up, along with the Gallagher brothers, for the huge stadium dates, Liam wrote: “It’s not the lineup reveal I’m bothered about I’ll reveal that to you in a minute I’m more bothered about the line where it says a source close to the band and tour that really causes me a great deal of concern LG x”.

Now, Bell, who served as a member in Oasis between 1999 and 2009, as well as forming Beady Eye with Liam, has shared his excitement to return to the fold with the iconic rock band.

While in Austria with his band Ride, he told the local publication Oe24: “I’m in and I’m really looking forward to it”.

The musician, also in Mantras of the Cosmos, continued: “We’ll see each other on tour. Or rather, you’ll see me – I’ll hardly be able to see you in the audience.”

Oasis are still yet to officially confirm their line-up for their reunion.

Despite the palpable excitement surrounding the upcoming dates, the band’s co-manager, Alec McKinlay, recently confirmed the band has no plans to release another album or more shows beyond the reunion tour.

In a new interview with Music Week, McKinlay, who co-runs Ignition Management with Marcus Russell, said of the upcoming set of dates: “This is very much the last time around, as Noel’s made clear in the press. It’s a chance for fans who haven’t seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to.”

McKinlay also ruled out the possibility of another album by Oasis in the future, adding, “But no, there’s no plan for any new music.”
