Liam Gallagher appears to confirm Oasis line-up for reunion tour

Liam Gallagher has appeared to confirm the full line-up for the new iteration of Oasis ahead of their upcoming reunion, which begins in July.

On March 12th, NME published a report that stated Andy Bell, who formerly served as a member of Oasis in addition to releasing solo material and forming Ride, would be returning to the group on bass duties. Meanwhile, Gem Archer, who was in Oasis from 1999 to 2009 will also be coming back to the band. Following the split of Oasis, Archer has played with both Gallagher brothers in Beady Eye and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, who founded Oasis back at the start of their journey, is also set to make a grand return back into the band. Although he left the group in 1999, he has regularly performed with Liam in recent years.

Finally, drummer Joey Waronker completes the line-up. The American is the only member of the reported line-up who has never previously been in Oasis. However, his impressive CV boasts work with Roger Waters, Elliott Smith, David Byrne, and Beck. He also founded Atoms for Peace with Thom Yorke and played on Liam Gallagher’s collaborative album with John Squire.

While it is yet to be officially confirmed by the band, Liam shared a post regarding his fears about the individual who was cited as being close to the band that was leaked to the publication, writing on X, “NME tell me who your source pots are that keep giving you info about OASIS and I’ll give you an exclusive interview about up n coming OASIS tour you can have it all but how much do you want it LG x”.

In a later post, Gallagher wrote on X: “It’s not the lineup reveal I’m bothered about I’ll reveal that to you in a minute I’m more bothered about the line where it says a source close to the band and tour that really causes me a great deal of concern LG x”.

The highly-anticipated Oasis tour is set to begin on July 4th at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. Oasis will then play numerous shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, Croke Park in Dublin as well as at Wembley Stadium.

Once they finish up in the UK, Oasis will head to North America for a series of stadium dates, and will also take their reunion to South America, Australia, Korea, and Japan.
