Alleged Lindsey Buckingham stalker appears in court after pleading not guilty to seven charges

A 55-year-old woman who is alleged to have stalked Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham appeared in a Los Angeles court on May 19th.

Michelle Dick was arrested last month in Indiana. She is accused of seven criminal charges relating to Buckingham, according to court documents from April 7th, including for hurling an unidentified substance at the former Fleetwood Mac guitarist in Santa Monica on March 25th.

A warrant for her arrest was issued at that time, with bail set at $300,000.

Dick subsequently pleaded not guilty to all seven charges ahead of her appearance in court earlier this week.

In the hearing, per Rolling Stone, Dick’s public defender asked for more time to review the case and asked for it to be continued on June 23rd, which was granted by Judge Lucy Armendariz.

The additional charges that Dick faces include a felony count of making criminal threats, one count of assault with a deadly weapon involving a motor vehicle on March 19th, and one count of vandalising Buckingham’s vehicle, a Mercedes-Benz S450, that same day.

The authorities have also charged the suspect with stalking Buckingham over a period of years, alongside another victim, named as Stephanie N.

In 2024, Buckingham filed a restraining order against Dick, which was granted by a judge, ordering her to stay away from Buckingham, his wife, and his son for five years. She was also instructed not to go near their home or vehicles.

The restraining order was filed after she allegedly called 911 to claim Buckingham’s son was suicidal and gunshots had been fired at their family home in Brentwood, according to Rolling Stone.

In a statement given to the court, the musician reportedly wrote, “When I answered the door, I was handcuffed and asked to step outside. After 20 minutes of the police searching my house. I was let back into my house, shaken and fearful.”
