The great Willie Nelson has been forced to cancel a string of tour dates after suffering breathing issues.
The 85-year-old, who has been busy working on his cannabis company in recent years, was due to perform in Michigan this weekend before kickstarting a long tour.
However, with the planned performance fast approaching, Nelson has been forced to pull out as he seeks out medical assistance for the problem.
Taking to social media to confirm the news, Nelson wrote: “I’m sorry to cancel my tour, but I have a breathing problem that I need to have my doctor check out. I’ll be back.”
Thankfully, however, Nelson visited his doctor and was able to rest up. Although the immediate shows have been scrapped, Nelson’s team did provide an update to confirm the date of his return.
They wrote on Twitter: “Update: Willie is resting and feeling better. The tour will resume on September 6 in Guildford, NH. Thanks to all fans for the continued.”
