Wet Leg, Jamie T, Idles and The Streets to headline Truck Festival
Oxfordshire’s Truck Festival have announced Brit Award-winners Wet Leg as headliners for their 2024 event alongside Jamie T, Idles and The Streets.
The festival, which takes place at Hill Farm from July 25th to 28th, marks Wet Leg’s first headline set in the UK. Other acts on the bill alongside the aforementioned artists include The Kooks, Declan McKenna, Yard Act, Holly Humberstone, Sea Girls, Black Honey, Peace, The Snuts, Soft Play, The Mysterines, Sundara Karma, English Teacher, The Magic Gang, Bob Vylan, Katy B, Willie J Healey, Nieve Ella, Antony Szmierek, 86TVs, Fat Dog and Lime Garden.
86TVs, the band comprised of former Maccabees members Felix and Hugo White, said: “While we were putting 86TVs together, we’ve been to Truck Festival over the last few years just to come and see bands. There always is at least ten acts you’re desperate to see in the same place over the course of a day. Exciting to be in the mix this year.”
Meanwhile, Mancunian rising star Antony Szmierek, who is set to have a 2024 to remember, added: “Truck took us completely by surprise last year. We didn’t think anyone would show up for the set and we were met with one of the most up for it, friendly and warm crowds of the festival season. Of course I got amongst them for a dance. I’m so happy to be back this summer to turn up the party another notch in the big tent.”
Weekend tickets begin at £140, but for early-bird, which includes admission on Thursday to catch Idles, is priced at £175.
Head of Marketing at Truck, Sam Harris, said of the line-up: “To welcome long-awaited headliners like Jamie T and The Streets to Hill Farm is a true honour, whilst having Wet Leg headline their very first festival with us is going to make for a very special weekend.”
With Wet Leg touted as potential future headliners for prestigious events such as Glastonbury and Reading + Leeds, their landmark slot at Truck Festival allows them to prove their credentials.
