Watch Wet Leg perform ‘Catch These Fists’ on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’

On April 2nd, Wet Leg made their first television appearance of the new album cycle, appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to perform their latest single, ‘Catch These Fists’.

Vocalist Rhian Teasdale donned an outfit inspired by what a boxer might wear in the ring, in keeping with the song’s themes of putting up a fight, as the band performed a particularly high-energy and forceful rendition of the new track.

While Teasdale flexed her muscles as though she had a point to prove to her opponents, the performance was a true knockout as they captured the raw energy of the single.

‘Catch These Fists’ was released on April 1st, and details are emerging of their long-awaited second studio album, Moisturizer. It will be out on July 11th, three years after their self-titled debut.

In Far Out’s review of the new track, it was said that “there is an added beefiness to the song, which carries a repetitive dance-punk rhythm and guitar lick and a sense of aggression to it,” while adding that “there are still plenty of the old Wet Leg hallmarks present.”

Their debut album, Wet Leg, was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize in 2022 and won two Grammys for ‘Best Alternative Music Album’ and ‘Best Alternative Music Performance’.

The band will also head out on a five-date UK tour in support of the new record in May, with tickets going on sale on Friday, May 11th. They are also scheduled to perform at a series of festivals across the summer, with appearances at Green Man, Wilderness, Boardmasters and Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
