Watch the new trailer for ‘Dune: Part Two’

After much fan anticipation, Warner Bros Pictures has unveiled a new trailer for Dune: Part Two, welcoming back familiar faces such as Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, and others in the Denis Villeneuve-directed picture.

The studio has been gearing up for the film’s release, promoting the movie through a series of trailers and character posters for the last few months. This press puts to bed the lengthy delays that the publication has faced.

Florence Pugh and Austin Butler are new additions to the realm of the science fiction saga, with Pugh taking on the character of Princess Irulan Corrino, the daughter of Emperor Shaddam IV played by Christopher Walken. Meanwhile, Butler plays Feyd-Rautha, the nephew of Stellan Skarsgård’s Baron Harkonnen character.

In a recent interview about the movie, director Denis Villeneuve said: “The first movie was more meditative and contemplative. We were following a young man discovering a new planet, a new culture. The second movie…it’s more of an action film than the first part. It’s more muscular.”

This followed comments the director made elsewhere about his hopes to complete a trilogy. He told Empire: “If I succeed in making a trilogy, that would be a dream.”

While Villeneuve refrained from confirming a third movie, he did hint at working on the script for one: “I will say, there are words on paper,” he explained.
