For her latest single, ‘Daddy’s Home’, St. Vincent has released a new music video that sees her take to the streets in a one-woman parade.
The video for the single from her new album of the same name was directed by the Los Angeles-based Bill Benz known for his work on Portlandia and other comedy projects.
The video sees the iconoclastic Texan artist take to the back of a flatbed truck for a performance brimming all her usual bravura only to have it somewhat annoy the bewildered denizens of the town, as she loops around the same singular nondescript block.
“Daddy’s Home collects stories of being down and out in downtown NYC,” Annie Clark said of her latest album. “Last night’s heels on the morning train. Glamour that’s been up for three days straight.”
With production help from Jack Antonoff, the album picks up where St. Vincent left off in 2019’s acclaimed MASSEDUCTION.
The star also recently announced that she is set to expand her 2022 tour of the UK and Europe beginning in June 2022 as she ventures through Slovenia, Czech Republic, Poland and Denmark before heading over to Ireland and finally landing in Scotland and ending the tour in London.
