Watch Geese make riotous ‘Saturday Night Live’ debut
Geese made their Saturday Night Live debut on January 24th, opting to play the sugary-sweet ‘Au Pays du Cocaine’ and the explosive ‘Trinidad’ from their latest album, Getting Killed.
Frontman Cameron Winter isn’t a stranger to the show. His likeness was spoofed in a duet between Winter and avid backflipper Benson Boone, in a short where the cast impersonated various strange musical collaborations.
Now, with One Battle After Another star Teyana Taylor as host, the Brooklyn four-piece brought two completely different vibes to 30 Rock.
First, Geese kept things light, with a pleasant rendition of the emotional ballad from Getting Killed, ‘Au Pays du Cocaine’. For the song, touring keyboardist and keytar player Sam Reva joined them on the minimally dressed stage. “You can be free and still come home,” Winter sings.
For their second appearance, they played album opener, ‘Trinidad’, which sees Winter screaming “There’s a bomb in my car!” over and over again atop a cataclysmic sonic soundscape. The lights shook in accordance with the riotous sound.
This isn’t their first late-night appearance. In October, Winter, Emily Green, Dominic DiGesu, and Max Bassin took to the stage on Jimmy Fallon and performed an impressive rendition of their hit single, ‘Taxes’.
Frontman Cameron Winter has also taken to the Jimmy Kimmel Live stage before in promotion of his solo album, Heavy Metal. The 23-year-old Winter sat at the piano to play his mournful ballad, ‘Drinking Age’.
Geese’s third studio album, Getting Killed, won the coveted top spot in Far Out’s official top 50 albums of 2025. Far Out observed: “It’s the sound of a band firing on all cylinders, realising that in their ambition is genuine greatness and with the bravery to explore it, a truly historic album like Getting Killed awaits. Coherent chaos is the sound of modern hope.”
Audiences newly drawn to their genre-resistant sound might hope to catch them at one of their upcoming shows. They will kick things off in Australia in February, before embarking on a European tour in March, which will include a stop at London’s Eventim Apollo on March 25th. They will return to the UK again in September.
