Stay calm, take some deep breaths, because Ty Segall has just shared his surprise new album, Harmonizer.
Segall has released material throughout the last couple of years through various side projects. In 2019, he also shared the boxset, Pig Man Lives: Volume 1 LP, but Harmonizer marks his first official body of work since First Taste.
Rather than announce his return with a flurry of singles over a plethora of months like most artists, the garage rock extraordinaire has dropped a whole record entirely out of the blue.
The Californian has always done things in his own peculiar manner, and his fans have come accustom to expecting the unexpected from Segall.
The 10-track LP was co-produced by Cooper Crain and sees Segall enlist features from members of his Freedom Band plus his wife, Denée.
Unfortunately, if you want to own a physical copy of Harmonizer, you’ll have to agonisingly wait until October. For now, stream the record in full below.
