Trailer for new ‘South Park’ episode continues to brutally mock Donald Trump
After their first episode in two years took aim at Donald Trump, which elicited a scathing response from the White House, South Park has released a trailer clip for its second episode that ignores all warnings from authority.
The first episode was titled ‘Sermon on the Mount’. At one point during the show, Trump is seen in bed with regular South Park character Satan. Topics include Trump’s attacks on Canada, the recent cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Epstein list, wokeness, and the president’s lawsuit against Paramount.
The episode also used realism to depict Trump’s character, as the animators used an actual photo of the US President stitched onto an animated body. Later, a deepfake video pokes fun at the size of his genitals. The co-creators were originally told by producers to blur Trump’s penis, but refused.
Since the episode aired, the White House have released a statement that began, “The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end – for years they have come after South Park for what they labelled as ‘offence’ content, but suddenly they are praising the show.”
White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers added that they have had no original ideas and that the show “hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.” At a panel after the statement was released, co-creator Trey Parker was unfazed. He had a short reply for White House officials: “We’re terribly sorry.” He followed up the comment with a long, deadpan-comic stare.
After two weeks, Parker and Matt Stone return with another episode that continues their tirade against Trump, which is set to air on August 6th. The show appears to tackle the ICE raids in LA now. Earlier this summer, ICE’s raids of several workplaces in LA over alleged immigration violations sparked outrage across America. In response, Trump authorised the deployment of the National Guard, allowing them to carry out anti-protest operations over the ensuing 60 days.
Trump also continues his infatuation with Satan. At a dinner party where a speaker can be heard announcing, “We want to honour the President’s courage,” Trump places his hand on Satan’s knee with a huge grin on his face. Satan bats it away, moaning, “Stop!”
The new trailer also parodies Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. In the clip, Kirk’s likeness is adopted by iconic South Park character Eric Cartman. With a similar hairstyle, the conservative pundit has a heated spat with a student, mirroring Kirk’s discussions with students on college campuses.
“You can just shut up, Bebe, because you hate America and you love abortions,” Cartman shouts at a fellow student. Kirk posted the clip to X, changing his picture to reflect his new animated form and writing, “I’m so watching this.”
He then told Fox News Digital, “I think it’s kind of funny, and it kind of goes to show the cultural impact and the resonance that our movement has been able to achieve. So, I look at this as a badge of honour.” He added, “We as conservatives need to be able to take a joke.”
The official account posts only the information “South Park’s epic season continues on Wednesday, August 6 at 10/9c on Comedy Central and next day on Paramount+,” along with the video.
