Toyah and Robert release raunchy video for ‘Fight For Your Right’ cover
Toyah Willcox and Robert Fripp are back with another instalment of Toyah and Robert’s Sunday Lunch. This time, the married couple tackled the Beastie Boys’ classic ‘Fight For Your Right’.
The pair launched the video on their YouTube channel with the description: “It’s a brand new instalment and it’s a good one! Robert Fripp straps on a guitar, and Toyah is back on the table”. Once again, the duo have donned dashing outfits.
The ‘Toyah’ YouTube channel has now become somewhat of a sensation, with over 208,000 subscribers at the time of writing. They have enamoured a loyal fanbase that has launched the Toyah and Robert brand as a new project.
There’s even a movie in the works. “We have a documentary crew following us, and we have quite a big production company scripting an idea at the moment,” Willcox said in a new interview with Eonmusic.
“Obviously, we won’t be in it. It’s for actors to play, but that’s all in the back kind of pool of what you call pre-production. All of that’s going on,” she continued. They also went on an extensive tour in 2023.
Their latest cover in the unfurling series, which has also featured the likes of ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’, ‘I Predict a Riot’, ‘Have Love Will Travel’, and ‘Hate To Say I Told You So’, showcases the Beastie Boys’ classic that the band actually grew to resent, feeling that it brought fans to their gigs that were only interested in partying and missed the subversive punk point of the group.
