Tool’s back catalogue is available on streaming services now

The entirety of Tool’s extensive back catalogue has been made available to stream online from today. Most streaming services, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Deezer will now stream the every album released by the band for the first time ever.

“Our obsession with, and dream of, a world where BetaMax and Laser Disc rule has ended,” says Tool frontman. “Time for us to move on. But never fear. There’s a brand new thing we think you’re really gonna dig. It’s called digital downloads and streaming. Get ready for the future, folks!”

The list includes classics such as their EP debut Opiate as well as other studio albums. This news will give the younger generation an opportunity to delve into the bands classic hits such as Undertow, which allowed a lot of younger bands to make it into the mainstream after its great success.

Other albums in their back catalogue include: 1993’s Undertow, 1996’s Ænima, 2001’s Lateralus, and 2006’s 10,000 Days.

This addition of Tool’s discography to streaming services comes a month ahead of their hugely anticipated fifth album Fear Inoculum. Just 13 years since their last release the bands new album will be out August 30.
