Tom Petty’s ‘Wildflowers & All the Rest’ arriving this October

The release of the late Tom Petty’s Wildflowers & All the Rest boxset has finally been handed a release date of October 15th through Warner Records.

The comprehensive box set celebrates his 1994 album which was co-produced along with Rick Rubin and Mike Campbell. The five-disc set was also curated by his daughters, Adria and Annakim Petty, alongside his wife Dana Petty.

“I broke through to something else,” Petty told Rolling Stone in a 2014 interview. My personal life came crashing down, and it derailed me for a while. But I was at the top of my game during that record.”

The boxset is available in various formats including a variety of CD/LP including a very special Ultra Deluxe Limited Edition. This is limited to 475 copies, this package includes five CDs and nine LPs containing a live version of Wildflowers, home recordings and demos as well as alternative takes that contain one unreleased song and 10 unreleased versions.

This edition also includes an 80-page book includes musings by David Fricke and Rick Rubin, rare photos and track-by-track information. The packaging adds a lithograph, tour-program replica, reproductions of handwritten lyrics, specially commissioned illustrations, a patch, sticker and a numbered certificate of authenticity.
