Timothée Chalamet sparks rumours of ‘Dune 3’ filming with shaved head

Timothée Chalamet has sparked rumours that filming for the much-anticipated final instalment of Dune is set to begin, as he appeared in public with what looks to be a shaved head.

The actor was spotted in Saint Tropez on July 7th, sporting a navy blue baseball cap with a green scarf tied to the back, presumably in an attempt to cover the buzz cut seen at the nape of his neck.

Having recently wrapped on his leading role in the upcoming sports drama Marty Supreme, produced by A24 and set for release on December 25th, 2025, Chalamet had also shaved the pencil moustache he had grown for the role as well.

Subsequently, the short hairstyle has almost confirmed that Chalamet is shortly set to head back into filming for the third instalment of the Dune trilogy, titled Dune Messiah and slated for release in 2026.

Solidifying this even further, lead co-star Zendaya was seen arriving in the Hungarian capital of Budapest also on July 7th, where filming is set to take place.

Although director Denis Villeneuve has his sights firmly set on the production of Dune Messiah at this precise moment, it comes as it was recently announced that he is set to take over as the next director of James Bond, becoming the first to work under its new ownership at Amazon MGM Studios.

The announcement of Villeneuve as director has cleared up some speculation, but the critical question of which actor will play the world’s most famous spy is yet to be answered. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is currently the tipped favourite after he declined to answer what he is doing after his recent film 28 Years Later.
