The Strokes have announced a very special homecoming concert to take place in Brooklyn on New Year’s Eve.
In what will be a massive sell-out show at Brooklyn’s Barclay Centre venue on December 31st, the performance is being billed as an attempt to make up for the cancellation of their pre-arranged headline set at Governors Ball Music Festival this past June.
As if fans of The Strokes weren’t excited enough, the band also announced that Mac DeMarco will be returning to New York to provide the support act.
The massive gig marks the end of some prolific tour dates for The Strokes who have been hitting the summer festival circuit with prolific effect.
With an upcoming appearance at Irish Festival Electric Picnic around the corner, Julian Casablancas and Co. will head to Dana Point, Mexico City, Lima before finally finishing up in Brooklyn.
