It has been revealed that The Rolling Stones will be reissuing their 1981 album Tattoo You in celebration of its 40th anniversary. Set for release on October 22nd – via Polydor/Interscope/UMe – the reissue will include previously unheard tracks, including ‘Living In The Heart of Love’, which is available to listen to now.
Fans will also be able to get their hands on deluxe editions of the album, which will include two additional records: Lost & Found: Rarities and Still Life: Wembley Stadium 1982.
The Rarities album will feature, as the name suggests, nine rarities from the band’s output during that era. The latter recording will feature early versions of various Tattoo You tracks, such as ‘Start Me Up’, as well as covers of The Temptations song ‘Just My Imagination’, and The Miracles’ ‘Going To Go Go’.
There will also be the opportunity to get hold of a super deluxe box set, which will comprise of four CDs, a Keith Richards Picture Disc, a 124 Page Book featuring over 200 rare photos from recording sessions and world tours, as well as lenticular art, and interviews with producer Chris Kimsey and photographer Hubert Kretzschmar.
Meanwhile, The Rolling Stones are set to embark on their rescheduled ‘No Filter’ tour this September, taking in live shows around the US through to the following November. Member’s of the legendary band recently showed their support for drummer Charlie Watt’s, who was forced to pull out of the tour due to concerns surrounding Covid-19.
