Behind the scenes footage of 'Matrix 4' offers first glimpse of Keanu Reeves as Neo

As soon as the whispers of another installment of The Matrix franchise was on the way we instantly began dreaming of green code and leather apparel. Judging by the first glimpse of Keanu Reeves as Neo that may have been misplaced.

The first footage from behind the scenes of The Matrix 4 has finally seen the light of day but with a dusty green jacket and a beanie hat, has Neo just got a job as a web developer?

The footage was shot by a local man, Doug Dalton, in San Francisco’s Chinatown, where the scenes were being shot among a host of onlookers.

Though the theory of Neo’s return to the cerebral bliss of the Matrix may be based on a very small piece of the film, we can’t see these working theories slow down any time soon.

The Matrix film iconography is dense with fan theories and concepts but even this one seems a little far-fetched based on the below clips.
