The Killers brought out some of their heroes as part of their blistering headline set on the Saturday evening at Glastonbury Festival’s iconic Pyramid Stage.

In a performance which seamlessly blended the old and new of The Killers’ extensive back catalogue, frontman Brandon Flowers was in energetic mood as be bounced around the stage and urged the crowd for more interaction at every possible moment.

The first encore saw Brandon Flowers invite on the Pet Shop Boys on to the stage for a rendition of the Killers track ‘Human’ before the two bands performed a cover of Pet Shop Boys’ very own ‘Always on my Mind’.

The moment they’re all talking about, however, was the second encore and the introduction of former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr. Marr, who had performed a rousing solo set earlier that day, joined The Killers for a memorable performance of Smiths song ‘This Charming Man’ before joining in on the final song ‘Mr. Brightside’.

“They say never meet your heroes,” Flowers told the Glastonbury crowd after performing with Marr, “but I think that went over alright,” he added.
