The Black Keys have been forced to withdraw from Woodstock 50 set
As we slowly but surely approach the 50th anniversary of the infamous festival known simply as Woodstock, the celebrations of the event are well underway. However, they will go on without the garage rockers The Black Keys who yesterday confirmed their withdrawal from the Woodstock 50 event.
Woodstock 50, which will be celebrating 5 decades since the landmark festival, will take place in Watkins Glen, New York from August 16-19. So far the line-up is looking pretty big with sets from the Killers, Dead & Company, JAY-Z, Chance the Rapper, Santana, and more.
“Due to a scheduling conflict, The Black Keys will, unfortunately, need to cancel their set at Woodstock, the band wants to let fans know as soon as possible and before tickets go on sale.” Read a statement from the band’s publicist.
