The Beach Boys postpone Virginia show amid anniversary tour
The Beach Boys are currently on their 60th anniversary tour for Pet Sounds, but they’ve announced a notable switch-up in the running of things, postponing a show in Virginia from June 7th to July 23rd.
The tour kicked off on March 22nd in Orlando with a guest appearance from actor and musician John Stamos. It will see the group travel across North America and Europe, with several shows scheduled in the UK.
However, the band seems to have hit some sort of bump in the road, as they’ve postponed their Vienna, Virginia, show at Wolf Trap by over six weeks.
Though no reason was revealed for the last-minute change, the venue shared an apology, writing on social media, “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your understanding.”
Fans with pre-existing tickets already do not need to rebook, as the tickets will “automatically transfer to the new date”.
The latest iteration of the California pop group consists of one of its original members, Mike Love, alongside Bruce Johnson, Jeffrey Faskett, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Keith Hubacher, Christian Love, and Scott Totten.
The 60th anniversary of Pet Sounds marks a seismic moment in continuing the legacy of the original Beach Boys, but is also marked with poignancy after the beloved frontman Brian Wilson passed away in June last year, at the age of 82.
From here, the iconic band will next appear in Dubai at the Coca-Cola Arena on June 11th, before making their way across the pond, kicking the UK shows off at London’s Royal Hospital Chelsea on June 14th.
From there, The Beach Boys will make their Scottish appearance at Edinburgh Playhouse on June 16th, before appearing at The Piece Hall in Halifax on June 17th and Guildhall Square in Southampton, as part of Southampton Summer Sessions, on June 18th, 2026. The latter two shows will include support from 10cc.
After two more UK shows in Wolverhampton and Belfast, the band will take a few days off before appearing on the West Coast.
