The Beach Boys cancel summer tour: “We can’t wait to see you back out there”
The Beach Boys have postponed and cancelled a series of dates on their summer North American tour.
The postponements were made on July 22nd, just a day before they were due to perform at The Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia, which has now been cancelled, according to the venue’s website.
While their full touring schedule remains listed on their website, Mike Love took to Instagram to confirm that The Beach Boys will not be fulfilling their commitments from July 23rd to September 3rd.
In total, 29 shows have been affected by this decision, with notable dates including two nights at the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and the Colorado State Fair.
Love shared on social media, “Playing for you is the highlight of our summer every year—especially as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States while saluting the 60th Anniversary of Pet Sounds.”
The last original Beach Boy in the band added, “We’ve been having a blast out there, and to keep the good vibrations going strong, we’ll be taking a short break to recharge before getting back on the road in September.”
He then promised, “All tickets for postponed performances (July 23 through September 3) will be honored following our return in late September.”
Love then instructed fans to “please contact your local box office for additional information and questions,” before concluding, “Thanks for your love—we can’t wait to see you back out there for a September to Remember.”
While some dates have been rescheduled, such as their date at the Ryman Auditorium, which will now take place on October 11th, many have been cancelled altogether.
As it stands, The Beach Boys are due to return to the stage at The Big E Arena in West Springfield on September 24th, which will be followed by dates in Quakertown and North Myrtle Beach later that month.
In October, they will visit Bloomington, Cincinnati, Nashville and Calgary, before playing two nights at the America Gardens Theatre at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando in November, as well as the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Bristol, Virginia.
They have also rescheduled their performance at the Entertainment Centre at River Cree Resort and Casino in Enoch, which will now go ahead on May 8th, 2027.
It has been a busy year for The Beach Boys, who have been on the road throughout 2026 for the Pet Sounds anniversary tour, visiting the UK earlier this summer for shows in June in London, Edinburgh, Halifax, Southampton, Wolverhampton and Belfast.
In May, Al Jardine, who no longer tours with the group, spoke out against Love, admitting, “I have no relationship with him. It’s hard to explain, but sometimes it’s better to leave things alone. He’s very quiet now. He doesn’t talk much.”
The public fallout between the pair exploded in 2025 when Jardine criticised Love’s speech during the funeral of Brian Wilson, who sadly died last June aged 82.
