The 1975 remove album track from ‘Being Funny In a Foreign Language’

The 1975 have officially removed a track from their 2022 album, Being Funny In A Foreign Language, from all streaming platforms.

On November 4th, the track ‘Human Too’ disappeared from streaming platforms. The song explores fragility, weakness, and the persisting disappointment of the human spirit.

On the track, Matty Healy sings repetitively, “Don’t you know that I’m a human too?” during the chorus.

Additionally, he appears to reference the music video for ‘People’, another The 1975 track, which depicted the frontman detonating a fake suicide vest that then explodes into Facebook and Instagram likes.

Healy went on to explain the song’s removal on Reddit, where he wrote, “Hey! Human Too was removed from the album so the album is more how I want it to be. Previous physical release obviously remain the same.”

He went on to suggest another song could be pulled from a different The 1975 record: “I doubt the same will happen with any other records as I am pretty happy with them outside of ‘What should I say’ from Notes On A Conditional Form. So that may also be removed who knows.”

A fan since pleaded with the singer to keep ‘What Should I Say’ on streaming platforms, which prompted his response: “Ok no worries.”

The band are currently working on a new album. Their manager, Jamie Oborne, previously shared, “They’re making a record at the moment. I don’t know when it will come out, but they’re making one.” From what he’s heard, Oborne described it as “pretty extraordinary”.
