Tame Impala have shared some vintage visuals for the wonderful ‘Is It True’.
The track featured on Kevin Parker’s latest record The Slow Rush, an album which arrived as the first Tame Impala album for five long years.
The record arrived as the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2015 effort Currents and has seen the psyche band overcome repeated setbacks in its creation: “Part of the thing about me starting an album is that I have to feel kind of worthless again to want to make music,” frontman Parker previously said.
“Finishing an album is by far the hardest thing I have to go through because everything else is just work, you know?” he said. “It’s actually the creative side when I have the times where I’m like, ‘Oh fuck, I can’t do this’ or ‘I’m never going to get to a point where I’m happy with this album.’ Even though that creative side’s what I’m best at, that’s the only time where I’m like, ‘Aargh! Fuck this!’”
In a series of posts on their Instagram account earlier today, the Aussies teased the upcoming video with a number of cryptic images of red television screens, which had text written on them.
One said: “From the past to the happening,” while another said: “I don’t know.”
