Tame Impala are ramping up their return by announced a string of 2019 tour dates for North America.
Having already revealed a number of festival appearances, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker provided an update on the eagerly anticipated new album, saying: “I like to think that the album is its own thing,” before adding “I wouldn’t want in 20 years to be listening to an album I made now and think that I finished it for any deadline or any particular reason. It was finished because it was finished.”
Now, new material is likely to be aired at the band’s now announced tour dates. Kicking things off at Coachella in April, Tame Impala will head to Nashville, Asheville. Atlanta, Miami and more.
On top of that, the Australian band will be heading back over to Europe for a string of festival appearances which includes Barcelona’s Primavera Sounds.
