Coachella 2019: Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and ARiana Grande will headline huge line-up
If you were expecting 2019 to be the year Coachella would slow down as the world’s premier juggernaut festival, then you were wrong. Very, very wrong. The absolutely mammoth line-up has arrived with three heavy-hitting headliners: Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and Ariana Grande.
Taking place in Indio on 12-14 and 19-21 April, the opening night is headlined by Childish Gambino, AKA rapper, singer, writer, actor, comedian and all-round top-bloke: Donald Glover. Saturday night is headlined by Australian psych-rock band Tame Impala, who also announced on Twitter “New year. New shows. New sounds” suggesting the long-awaited follow-up to 2015’s Currents is not far away. The final headline spot sees 2018 queen Ariana Grande take her rightful place at the head of the pop table as she will close out the event.
Other notable acts include Solange, Khalid, Janelle Monáe, H.E.R and Ella Mai; rappers Juice WRLD, Bad Bunny, Kid Cudi and Anderson .Paak, Weezer, Mac DeMarco, Unknown Mortal Orchestra. We also have some British talent including the 1975, Aphex Twin and Blood Orange.
