Summary
During his second year as Gotham City's masked vigilante, Batman investigates a string of murders committed by the enigmatic Riddler, who targets influential political and business figures. As he deciphers a trail of riddles with the help of Lieutenant James Gordon, Batman uncovers widespread corruption linked to his own family's legacy. Along the way, he forms an uneasy alliance with Selina Kyle while confronting the criminal empire of Carmine Falcone and Oswald Cobblepot. The investigation forces Batman to redefine his mission, realising that he must become a symbol of hope as well as vengeance for Gotham's citizens.
