Working at staggering levels.

R.E.M. were an American alternative rock band formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1980 by vocalist Michael Stipe, guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills and drummer Bill Berry.
Widely regarded as one of the most influential bands in alternative rock history, R.E.M. helped bring college rock into the mainstream during the 1980s and 1990s through their distinctive blend of jangly guitars, introspective lyrics and melodic songwriting. Following early classics including ‘Murmur’ and ‘Document’, the band achieved global success with albums such as ‘Out of Time’, ‘Automatic for the People’, ‘Monster’ and ‘New Adventures in Hi-Fi’.
Despite Bill Berry’s retirement in 1997, R.E.M. continued as a trio until amicably disbanding in 2011, leaving behind one of the most acclaimed catalogues in modern rock.
