Mark Knopfler is a British musician, singer, songwriter, guitarist and record producer best known as the co-founder, lead vocalist, lead guitarist and principal songwriter of Dire Straits. Widely regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Knopfler is celebrated for his distinctive fingerstyle playing, understated vocals and evocative songwriting.
