Chrissie Hynde was born in Akron, Ohio, to Melville Grant Hynde and Dolores Hynde. Hynde married Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr in 1984, and they had a daughter, Yasmin Kerr, before divorcing in 1990. She later married Colombian sculptor Lucho Brieva in 1997, with the marriage ending in divorce in 2002. Hynde also has a daughter, Natalie Ray Hynde, from her relationship with journalist Ray Hollis.
