Bono is a Dublin-born Irish performer, known for his vocals and lyricism in the rock band U2.
Born Paul David Hewson, Bono founded his band in 1977 with his school friend David Evans, known as ‘The Edge’, which went on to be a worldwide success and deeply influential to the future of rock music.
Albums such as ‘The Joshua Tree’ set the band U2 up for worldwide commercial success, allowing the production of their experimental follow-up record, ‘Achtung Baby’, pushing the album to be recognised as a ‘creative and artistic masterpiece’.
