Angelina Jolie is an American actor, filmmaker and humanitarian whose career has spanned more than four decades.

One of Hollywood’s most recognisable stars, Jolie first gained widespread acclaim with her Academy Award-winning performance in ‘Girl, Interrupted’ before becoming an international box office draw through films including ‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’, ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’, ‘Wanted’, ‘Salt’, ‘Maleficent’ and ‘Maria’. As a director, she has helmed films such as ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey’, ‘Unbroken’ and ‘First They Killed My Father’.

Alongside her screen career, Jolie is internationally recognised for her humanitarian work, serving for many years as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador and later as a Special Envoy, advocating for refugees, human rights and women’s rights.
