The official score taken from Stranger Things series three will be given an exclusive multi-coloured vinyl release.
Far Out reported recently that Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, who work together in the band Survive, are returning once more to the set of Stranger Things and will score the third season.
Having built up their reputations with the work on the first two seasons of Netflix’s hit show, Dixon and Stein have completed the score for the eagerly anticipated new season and will release the soundtrack separately on CD and vinyl on June 28th.
“With the Season 3 soundtrack, we’ve made an album that doesn’t feel like a ‘score’ necessarily,” Dixon and Stein wrote in a statement, “but one that feels more like a stand-alone record than a collection of brief cues.
“We’ve incorporated the main narrative elements of the series and stayed true to the original sound. While at the same time expanding on our musical palette—we often pushed it to the limit. We’ve really made an effort to curate this album to showcase the moments we think are really special.”
Now, it has been confirmed that their score will be given a ‘Fireworks Splatter’ edition vinyl release in the United States while the rest of the world will be able to pick up a ‘Neon Pink’ with ‘Turquoise Marble Effect’ edition.
To coincide with the news, Dixon and Stein have revealing two singles from the score in the shape of ‘Starcourt’ and ‘The Ceiling Is Beautiful’ which can be streamed below.
